Steps for Enrollment
Congratulations on your acceptance to SUNY Polytechnic Institute! Use this page to guide you through the steps to becoming an enrolled student.
If you are an international student, please refer to the International Admissions Accepted Student page.
Refer to your acceptance letter for your enrollment confirmation deadline and pay your tuition deposit by this date.
Note: The tuition deposit is waived for U.S. Veterans

- Enter $150 for the “Admissions Tuition Deposit - Graduate”
After paying your tuition deposit, submit the online Graduate Enrollment Conformation Form: webapp.sunypoly.edu/forms/graduate-enrollment-confirmation
Your SITNet ID gives you access to the following important resources: Banner (our student record and course registration system), Blackboard (our Learning Management System which supports online learning), Degree Works (our degree audit system), and library services. Use our online SITNet ID Activation Instructions to get your account created and it will be ready to use within one hour of activation.
Your NetID is your second required campus computer account which gives you access to the following: wired/wireless network access, email services, network file shares, and printing.
SUNY Poly email is the college’s official channel of communication with you. Examples of what you will receive via email include semester billing statements, messages from professors, broadcast announcements, etc.
Upon receipt of your tuition deposit and confirmation form, your computer and e-mail account activation information will be sent to you via your personal e-mail.
Contact Krista Thompson, Office of Graduate Studies for notification of your faculty advisor. After you’ve received academic advisement log into Banner (our student record system) and register for classes.

A mandatory on-campus orientation program takes place the week before classes each semester. Visit sunypoly.edu/orientation, select your start term to review detailed information about the Albany Graduate Student Orientation.
SUNY Poly does not mail paper billing statements. After you’ve registered, a message will be sent to your campus e-mail account directing you to log into Banner to view your bill, confirm your charges, and make payment. Payment plans are available. All students are required to comply with mandatory health requirements which include providing proof of immunizations. Complete the required forms and return them to the Wellness Center by August 1 for a fall start and January 1 for a spring start. Failure to return the forms may result in the loss of your course registration. For your security, medical records should be faxed (rather than e-mailed) to 315-792-7371. Please note students intending to attend any on campus courses or utilize on campus services in person must provide proof of having the COVID vaccine.
To formally matriculate, you must submit final, official transcripts from colleges previously attended with your degrees posted on them. Your financial aid will not be released until these are received.
