International Graduate Admissions is excited to announce that we are anticipating a strong group of new students this spring that have been awarded a Graduate Assistantship.
Graduate Assistants (GAs) receive a bi-weekly stipend for 195 hours of work over a semester (approximately 15 hours a week). If you would like to have a student work for you, please submit a request by using the Graduate Assistant Request Form by December 15.
GAs have worked in various roles across campus for both faculty and staff alike. They have worked as research assistants, teaching assistants, and as program assistants in areas like career services, athletics, the learning center, marketing, and ITS just to name a few.
If you are unsure if a GA may be a fit for you, but would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact Alicia.
All faculty and staff members who submit this request will be required to attend and participate in the GA Job Fair scheduled for Wednesday, January 12, 1 – 4pm. The fair will allow you to conduct on the spot interviews and review resumes to assist in finding a mutual match for your needs.
Please note, the funding for these students comes out of the enrollment management budget. The students who will be seeking a GA placement are international graduate students in our MS Computer Science program.
