Fall Student Employment: Hiring Students
If your office is planning to hire Federal Work Study (FWS) students or a student assistant (SA) this fall, don't forget to complete the training and publish your job posting by Monday Aug 3. Many students will apply before classes begin just to have one less loose end to tie up as the semester gets started.

Did You Know?
No available department funding for your dream student candidate? You can "hire" an intern for academic credit! Most students at SUNY Poly are seeking to get hands-on experience that will help them develop career competencies. All internships for credit must be reviewed and approved by an academic advisor. Keep in mind, the pandemic has impacted the process for in-person internships and waivers are now required from both the student and the site supervisor to acknowledge the risks and responsibilities they assume by choosing to work in a non-remote setting during this global health crisis. This applies to credit/non-credit, paid/unpaid internships. Please review the internship section online, and find all the forms at sunypoly.edu/career-services/forms.
Stay healthy. And stay cool!
