All UUP-, CSEA-, PEF-, and PBANYS-represented employees on campus for the Fall 2020 semester will be required to participate in surveillance testing every other week. The pooled COVID-19 surveillance testing will take place in the upper level "walking track" of the Campus Center.
If you are unable or do not wish to take part in the pooled testing, you will need to submit proof of a negative SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) PCR test result to Human Resources (results should be emailed directly to Audra Cornelius at email@example.com). The test must be a PCR molecular test or an antigen test; antibody tests will not be accepted. Any employee who does not participate in the pooled testing will need to provide their own test results each time a pooled test is run.
Those UUP-, CSEA-, PEF-, and PBANYS-represented employees who are 100% remote for the Fall 2020 semester are not required to be tested.
In order to make this process as efficient as possible for everyone taking part, please note the following reminders:
- Before the day of the test, you must go to https://www.suny-covid-test.com/ to register in advance (this will save you significant time the day of the test).
- Within the three hours before the test, you cannot brush your teeth or use mouthwash.
- Within 30 minutes before the test you cannot eat or drink anything, including mints, gum, or lozenges, or smoke or use smokeless tobacco products or e-cigarettes.
