To help support compliance with SUNY Poly’s COVID-19 testing and screening efforts which are required by New York State, and as we work together to mitigate the potential spread of the virus, all campus buildings will continue to require registered students, faculty, and staff to “swipe in” using your SUNY Poly ID card before entering. Please note that this means if you are on campus, you should have your ID card in your possession or you will not be able to access the buildings. For the safety of our community, “tailgating” is not permitted.
This effort will also help to ensure that only those who should have access to campus buildings are able to enter, especially with a larger number of members of the public on campus due to SUNY Poly’s Utica campus now serving as a NYS vaccination site. Of note, the need to swipe in will have no impact on emergency egress, as there is no need to swipe out before exiting a building.
As a reminder:
- Completion of the daily screening is required for anyone requiring access to campus.
- Faculty, staff, and students on campus must complete all testing requirements (see here for employee testing and here for student testing protocols) before coming to campus.
- Those not participating in the testing program or submitting a negative PCR test will be unable to complete the daily screening which will prohibit access to campus.
