We invite you to attend a lecture as part of the SUNY Polytechnic Visiting Scholar Seminar Series for Spring 2021.

Speaker: Dr. Arpan Jani, University of Wisconsin at River Falls
Title: Online Q&A sites as complex adaptive systems: A preliminary agent-based model of answer contributions to Stack Exchange
When: Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 12:30 – 1:30 pm
Why: 1) Learn about how people share knowledge at online question-and-answer sites such as Stack Exchange, Quora, Yahoo Answers; 2) Get to know a free software called Netlogo for modeling behavior of groups of people or animals; and 3) pick up some information on how academic research is done.
