Women's History Month- A Note from Human Resources
Did you know that March is Women's History Month? Women’s History Month is a time to honor the amazing efforts and accomplishments women have made to science, technology, education, arts, culture and history to name a few, so what is a better way to celebrate and engage in that history then to be inspired by women who transformed science!
Human Resources has several copies of the book Headstrong: 52 Women Who Changed Science and the World by Rachel Swaby (2015). It is a synopsis of inspiring and insightful profiles of history’s brightest female scientists. In honor of Women’s History Month, you are invited to stop in and sign out/borrow a copy to read. There are plenty to share, and we hope you will enjoy reading about these fabulous women.
So, grab a book, settle in, and join in celebrating women’s contributions throughout history- particularly in the field of STEM!
