Environmental, occupational health and safety policy

SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) is committed to protecting the environment and the health and safety of its students, faculty, staff, and other members of the campus community. SUNY Poly will promulgate and publish Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures that comply with applicable EHS laws, rules and regulations. A copy of the SUNY Poly EHS procedures can be found electronically at the SUNY Poly EHS website.

This EHS Policy and the associated procedures are applicable to all SUNY Poly operating locations, specifically including, but not limited to, the Albany and Utica sites.

All individuals who work at a SUNY Poly location and all students are required to be familiar with and comply with EHS laws, rules and regulations as set forth in this Policy and the associated procedures, and they shall endeavor to promote EHS at SUNY Poly’s locations.

The SUNY Poly EHS Department will maintain the programs and procedures applicable to this EHS Policy.

Implementation of this EHS Policy and the associated programs and procedures is the responsibility of the entire SUNY Poly community – students, faculty, staff and other members of the campus community. Accordingly, all individuals should act responsibly with respect to EHS issues while at any SUNY Poly facility.
