Dear SUNY Poly Community,
I am deeply saddened to share that our community has experienced the loss of one of our students. My heartfelt condolences go out to the student’s family, friends, classmates, faculty, and all who are affected. This is an incredibly difficult moment for our university, and I know that many across our campus are deeply impacted.
Grief affects each of us differently, and it’s natural to experience a range of emotions in the days ahead. I want to encourage our entire campus community to come together in support of one another. Please remember that you are not alone.
SUNY Poly’s Care Team and Counseling Services are available to support students and the Assistant Directors of Residential Life will be available in all halls. Information about additional counseling and wellness services are available. Support services for faculty and staff will be shared in a separate email from Human Resources.
I urge everyone to reach out if you need support and be sure to check in on your classmates and colleagues. In times like this, it’s important that we take care of ourselves and one another. Together, we will continue to embody the compassion and unity that defines the SUNY Poly community.
