Estimated Cost of Attendance

The estimated cost to attend school before scholarships or financial aid are applied is called the Cost of Attendance (COA), and it includes two types of expenses:

  • Billable Expenses (or Direct Costs): Costs you pay directly to the school, like tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals.
  • Non-Billable Expenses (or Indirect Costs): Costs you pay on your own, such as books, supplies, transportation, and off-campus living expenses.
