Dear SUNY Poly Community,

The Nomination Committee for the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Classified Service is now accepting nominations for the 2025 award.  Please consider nominating one of our colleagues in the Classified Service for this honor.  They provide critical core services that support the success of our students and, therefore, the success of this institution and all its employees.

Nomination Eligibility
• All nominees must have completed at least three (3) years of continuous, full-time permanent service in the Classified Service position for which they are nominated.
• Prior recipients of a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Classified Service are ineligible for consideration.
• Posthumous nominations are also ineligible.

Please use this attached Nomination Form provided by SUNY (pdf) to submit your nomination. Please note that the nomination submission requires the inclusion of a narrative statement (less than 500 words) in support of the nominee, describing how she/he has:
• Continuously demonstrated outstanding achievement, skill, and commitment to excellence in fulfilling the duties of the position held;
• Demonstrated excellence in activities beyond the normal scope of the position held; and 
• Provided excellent service to students, staff, faculty, and other members of the campus community.

The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2025 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in the Classified Service is Friday, February 7, 2025.  Please submit your nominations either in electronic format (preferred), or in hard copy to:
