Jennifer Jones

Jennifer Jones, MS, CHES, is the Wellness Center's Wellness Promotion Coordinator. Jennifer grew up locally and spent time in the Metropolitan D.C. area after college. She earned her Certified Health Educator Specialist(CHES) designation in 2023. She attended SUNY Cortland for her Bachelor's in Health Science and her Master's in Community Health. Over the past twenty years, she has worked in a variety of medical and social work fields ranging from pharmaceuticals and direct patient care to health education and advocacy for survivors of violence.  She has worked in the higher education setting for the last seven years.  

Jennifer brings a wide view of wellness and a health education background spanning topics such as reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, violence prevention and bystander intervention, injury prevention and treatment, and mental health. Jennifer is a Certified Green Dot Facilitator, trained in Bring in the Bystander curriculum; she is also certified in Mental Health First Aid and Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention curriculum. Additionally, she is training to become an American Heart Association Tobacco Treatment Professional.  She is dedicated to helping students at SUNY Polytechnic strive for progress in all facets of their health and wellness.
