Juleah Wanner (formerly Vedder) took over the Wildcat softball and women’s volleyball programs in 2017.

In 2017 Wanner led the Wildcat softball team to a 15-21 record, narrowly missing the NEAC Championship Tournament with a 10-14 NEAC record.

In her first season at the helm of the women’s volleyball team, Wanner’s squad went 11-16 overall and 5-4 in conference play, leading to a berth in the NEAC Championship Tournament where the Wildcats were eliminated in the quarterfinal round.

Since graduating from SUNY Poly in 2012, Wanner has held the position of both Head Coach (2014) and Assistant Coach (2012-13) at Morrisville State. In 2014 Juleah coached four players to NEAC All-Conference selections.

In her collegiate career at SUNY Poly Juleah was a two sport athlete playing both softball and volleyball for the Wildcats. She is a current career record holder in home runs, RBIs, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts for SUNY Poly and is also the record holder for career kills, digs, and service aces for the volleyball program. Juleah was a six time NEAC All-Conference Selection (twice in softball and four times in volleyball). She was named the NEAC Volleyball player of the year two times while at SUNY Poly and was the Female Athlete of the Year in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Juleah is also a four time Utica Kiwanis Award Recipient.

Juleah graduated from Dolgeville High School in Dolgeville in 2008. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from SUNY Poly in 2012.

SUNY Poly Athletic Director Kevin Grimmer had this to say about the hiring of Juleah Wanner. "The Wildcats are fortunate to welcome Juleah back to the SUNY Poly sports program, where she had such a dramatic impact as an outstanding student-athlete and representative of our athletics program. As a full-time head coach of softball and assistant with volleyball, Juleah will provide our current student-athletes with tremendous tutelage and we expect her teams will compete at the championship level".
