Patricia Roach

Dr. Patricia Roach is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Advanced Study and Doctorate in Nursing Practice programs at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Patricia obtained her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Rush University in Chicago. Her Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Nursing from SUNY Institute of Technology (now SUNY Poly) and a Post-Master’s Certificate of Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.
Her experience is in community and collegiate psychiatric mental health care. Prior to earning her credentials as an advance practice nurse, Patricia worked 30 years in healthcare system leadership and clinical roles in the Utica Healthcare System retiring in 2017. Her current practice and research interests are working with a whole systems healing approach, integrating complementary and alternative practices, and treating and researching trauma from adverse childhood experiences. She treats individuals across the lifespan; children from age five to senior adults. Services include diagnosis and treatment of common psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacologic, psychotherapy, and comprehensive psychoeducation.
