Other change of status out of F-1 Student Status information

Individuals with F-1 Status may choose to change their status in the U.S. for several reasons. This change OUT of F-1 status may be accomplished with an application to the federal government, or by traveling outside of the U.S. and re-entering with a new Visa stamp/status.

Any individual who was most recently a SUNY Polytechnic Institute F-1 student should report their change of status information to SUNY Poly, so that school officials may update your SEVIS record.

Once you are no longer a SUNY Poly F-1 Student, you no longer report to SUNY Poly, nor are you bound by F-1 Student regulations and requirements. All questions about immigration once you are no longer an F-1 student should be directed to an immigration attorney.

If you have changed your status from F-1 International Student, submit your new status information at:

*Only use this form if you were most recently an F-1 International Student with SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
