Albany Times Union: SUNY Poly researchers headed to San Francisco
for Semicon West show

Fresh of the amazing announcement that they had helped IBM develop the world’s most advanced chip with 7 nanometer transistors, researchers at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany are headed to San Francisco for the Semicon West trade show, put on by semiconductor industry suppliers.

Like last year when SUNY Poly unveiled a 450mm wafer that it made in Albany, SUNY Poly officials are expected to make another unveiling of a “notchless” 450mm wafer – one that doesn’t have the traditional notch in the wafer to align the wafer properly during chip production.
