SUNYIT will hold a free health and wellness fair for the college community and the general public Tuesday, April 15, from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. in the Campus Center gym. Students and community agencies will feature presentations and exhibits on a variety of health topics.

More than 65 vendors will offer information on topics such as holistic health, reflexology, chiropractic care and massage, gerontology services, extended care, rehabilitation, nutrition, financial and environmental health, tobacco addiction and drug abuse, pregnancy, mental health, health insurance options, Medicare information and sexual health/STD prevention.  Free assessments and screenings will include:  stroke risk, cholesterol, carotid artery Doppler, vision, color blindness, blood pressure, heart health assessment, BMI, as well as Tdap, flu and pneumonia vaccinations.   Chair massages, healthy beverages, snacks and giveaways will also be available.

The event is sponsored by SUNYIT’s health and wellness center and the Central New York Disability Services Office Employee Assistance Program.

Also on April 15, the SUNYIT Student Association and Campus Life office will hold an American Red Cross blood drive from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Campus Center’s upper lobby. Donors are asked to call 792-7530 in advance.
