- Due to a shortage of donations this winter, your blood donation is critically needed now.
- Blood donations are being distributed by the Red Cross to hospitals as fast as they are coming in.
- Every day the Red Cross must collect nearly 14,000 blood donations for patients in need. Your generous donation is essential for patient care.
- All those who come in to donate from Jan. 30 to Feb. 26, 2017, are eligible to receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card via email for making blood and platelet donation a priority this winter. More information is available at redcrossblood.org/winter.
- Eligible donors with types O, B negative or A negative blood are encouraged to make a Power Red donation, where available. If you don't know your blood type, you can have it tested at the drive!
