Brown and Caldwell has opportunities for an Engineering Aides (Interns) to join our company. The successful candidate will work on various projects and will be mentored by senior technical staff on various tasks and assignments.

Job Expectations:

Under the supervision of senior staff, the successful candidate may: •Perform engineering work in various engineering fields (wastewater, water, infrastructure, stormwater, water treatment, construction management) •Work on engineering designs, prepare reports, construct plans, make specifications, and cost estimates for various projects •Assist with environmental studies, permitting and alternative analysis •Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing •Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables •Duties may also include field activities such as site investigations, storm water sampling, and stream flow monitoring •Data collection and documentation

Position Requirements: •Candidate should be in the process of pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Environmental engineering •GPA of 3.0 or higher •Experience and/or coursework in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance preferred •Valid driver's license and good driving record required •Experience using Microsoft Office Suite a plus (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred •Good written and verbal communication skills essential •Previous related internship experience a plus but not necessary
