Buffalo Business First: Athenex deal with New York state will bring 900 jobs to new Dunkirk factory, 500 jobs to Buffalo HQ

New York state plans to spend $200 million to build a high-tech manufacturing facility in northern Chautauqua County for Athenex, a Buffalo-based company dedicated to the development, commercialization and manufacture of specialty cancer drugs.
Company and state officials said the 300,000-square-foot facility will be on Route 5 in a section called Lake Shore Drive East, just northeast of the Dunkirk city line. in the town of Dunkirk, with initial construction work starting this year.
