Apparently, that strategy involves more than just panels. SolarCity chairman Elon Musk said Tuesday that the company is looking beyond the modules associated with a typical solar project and will build entire roofs embedded with solar technology.
"It's not a thing on a roof," Musk told investors. "It is the roof."
