Some of the most entrepreneurial-minded students in New York will pitch their business plans Friday in one of the largest student business plan competitions in the northeast.

Among the businesses from the Albany region are Double D's, a startup to manufacture bras and sell the undergarments in Kenya; ChugaChaga, a beverage company mixing the superfood chaga with tea; and Aureonic, a nanotechnology company that develops nanosensers to use in high temperature combustion environments.

These are three of the 12 teams from the Albany area competing in the New York Business Plan Competition. In total, 120 teams from across the state, representing 37 colleges and universities, will compete for $500,000 in prizes. This is the sixth year of the competition.
