Alain Kaloyeros, who built the nanotech college in Albany, New York and is spreading the nanotechnology industry across New York, has been named the founding president of SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
SUNY Polytechnic Institute is the resulting college after the State University of New York merged the College of Nanoscale Sciences and Engineering in Albany with the SUNY Institute of Technology in Utica/Rome,
