SUNY Polytechnic Institute mourns the passing of Dr. Ted Max, a longtime supporter of our college and a noted community leader and philanthropist.

A College Council member for more than 19 years and a faithful supporter of Wildcat athletics, Dr. Max, and his wife, Melva, gave generously in support of student scholarships. Dr. and Mrs. Max formed a tremendous legacy that will help shape the lives of students here for generations to come.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 4-8 p.m. at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford, with funeral services on Saturday, November 19, noon, at Grace Church, 6 Elizabeth Street, Utica.
