SUNY Poly Univerisity Police is accepting registrations for the upcoming National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course being offered Monday, October 31, 2016 .  The course will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center MPR #2, Room S112.

Employees must obtain their supervisor’s permission prior to registration to ensure there is proper coverage in their department. To register for class, bring your payment to University Police, (Kunsela Hall – B126). Make checks payable to The College Association.

The cost is $20 for SUNY Poly* faculty, staff and students (*includes State, Research Foundation & College Association employees, retirees and students/alumni) and $30 for non-employees.

By simply taking the NSC’s six-hour class, you will save money for three full years. Receive up to a 10% discount on your vehicle collision and liability insurance premiums each year for three years. This discount applies to the base rate of your automobile and motorcycle insurance premiums providing you are listed as the principal operator.

The same six-hour class may allow you to receive up to a four (4) point reduction on your driving record with the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles. (May be taken once every 18 months for point reduction.)
