SUNY Poly has adopted the  OHSWA RecycleOneOne and Done program. ALL recyclable items – paper, plastic, metal, and glass – should be mixed together loosely in one recycle bin.

So what is recyclable?

RecycleOne flyers have been provided to each department or office to help everyone understand what is and is not recyclable under the new RecycleOne: One and Done program. The  RecycleOne flyer is also available  here.

Below are tips for recycling METAL.

INCLUDE:

Soup Cans, Soda Cans, Deposit Cans, Aluminum Foil Wrap, Foil Plates & Trays, Metal Lids, Aerosol Cans (Empty)

DO NOT INCLUDE:

Metal/Cardboard Containers (i.e. Cocoa & Motor Oil), Silverware, Small Appliances, Pots & Pans, Pesticides, Chemicals, Gasoline or Paint

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Do Not Place Recyclables In Plastic Bags. Please Do Not Bundle Or Tie With String Or Twine. Lids Must Be Removed From Containers Before Recycling, But Include Metal Lids In Recycling Container. Aerosol Cans Must Be Empty. Leave Stems & Valves.

Answers to recycling frequently asked questions (FAQs) can be found  here.

As always, thanks for your support and cooperation during this transition.
