Get ready.  Get set.  Roar!  Or you could bark, quack, or squeak, because the 2016/2017 ANIMAL ALLIES season is all about our furry, feathered, and finned friends.  In the 2016/2017  FIRST ® LEGO® League Challenge, more than 28,000 teams of students age 9 to 14 will look into the eyes of our ANIMAL ALLIES.

24 youth robotics teams made up 4th - 8th graders of regional FLL teams will compete at the Animal Allies Championship here on SUNY Poly’s campus in the Wildcat Field House on Saturday, February 11th. The event is free and open to the public from 12:30PM – 3:30PM.

Additionally, FIRST ® LEGO® League Jr. presents a new and exciting Challenge to ignite the creativity of children age 6 to 10 during the FLL Jr. Expo.

On Sunday, February 12th, 24 youth robotics teams made up of 7th -12th graders from all over New York State will compete in paired alliances during a series of fast-paced matches of agility and strategy, in the 2016/2017   FIRST ® Tech Challenge Championship. This year's theme, "Velocity Vortex", allows students to showcase the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and teamwork skills needed to build, program and compete in FIRST ® Tech Challenge robotics. This is a championship event for the Excelsior FTC Region covering over 34 Counties in New York State.  The event is free and open to the public from 10:30AM - 5:00PM.
