World-renowned urban theorist Richard Florida will speak at Utica's Stanley Center for the Arts on September 12, 7 p.m., as part of the Community Foundation's 2013 speaker series. Florida is the author of The Rise of the Creative Class, Who's Your City, The Great Reset, The Flight of the Creative Class, Cities and the Creative Class, The Breakthrough Illusion, and Beyond Mass Production. Florida will speak on the creative class and how the arts can ignite a community. Tickets to the event are free and available online.
