Helpdesk Technician- Security Internship

Special Metals, New Hartford
20 hours per week (including summer) at approximately $13-15 per hour
Assist in maintaining systems to protect data from unauthorized users. Identifies, reports, and resolves security violations. Implements new Security polices at the desktop level. Confirms security, virus, and patch management software is installed and current. Documents and validates asset inventory, and changes to systems. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a Security field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
In addition this position provides support to end users on a variety of other issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Requirements:
- 3 year + Student in the Computer Science or Network Security

programs
