To honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. the SUNYIT community, in partnership with SUNY campuses across the state and the New York State Commission on National and Community Service, will take part in a state-wide day of service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day,January 20. SUNYIT students, faculty and staff volunteers will lend their efforts to two agencies in Utica. At Hope House, volunteers will assist with the cleanup of an attic and storage rooms as well as organize their supplies. At the Abraham House, participants will help work a food drive in conjunction with Chanatry's Food Market.
