UTICA, NY – SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) announced today it has been ranked 40th in the nation for “Most Affordable Cyber Security Schools and Colleges in the U.S.” in 2021 by CYBER Degrees EDU.

In its ranking, Cyber Degrees EDU highlighted that SUNY Poly:

“…has a spacious campus located on the outskirts of Utica, New York. If you’re looking to enter the cyber security or computer science field, you’ll have the option of completing a bachelor’s degree and even continuing on to earn your master’s in computer and information sciences, information assurance, or information science. The school is small, with a population of just over 3,000, but has an excellent student to teacher ratio of 13 to 1. And, with the low costs of a public New York school in one of the best university systems in the US, there is plenty to recommend this institution.”

“This recognition is an excellent indication that given the current global challenges being faced by so many, SUNY Poly is meeting the challenge of affordability, which has never been more critical for students,” said SUNY Poly College of Engineering Interim Dean Dr. Michael Carpenter. “SUNY Poly offers an unmatched value for students pursuing our Network + Computer Security: Cybersecurity program, and our expert faculty empower students to thrive in this in-demand career field.”

CYBER Degrees EDU ranked its Top 55 Most Affordable Cyber Security Programs 2021 by multiplying the average graduate’s salary by 10 years and deducted the net price of four years of tuition, determining each institution’s average 10-year return on investment, with sources including College Navigator and The Institute of Education Sciences (IES); College Score Card and the U.S. Department of Education; Bureau of Labor Statistics; and PayScale.
