When it comes to choosing a college, size does matter.
While big colleges provide large athletic and recruiting programs or state-of-the art research facilities, small colleges also have their advantages.
Small colleges offer smaller class sizes with professors teaching instead of graduate students. This means more one-one attention with professors and administrators. A smaller campus community also provides a chance for students to get involve with less competition. Students can also build their own majors according to their interests.
The ranking from Niche is based on key statistics and student reviews using data from the U.S. Department of Education. The list includes 4-year colleges with less than 5,000 undergraduate students.
Notes
The Niche grades are based on rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and alumni.
