SUNY Poly collaborative quantum information, mathematical physics research published in three journals

SUNY Poly Lecturer in Applied Mathematics Dr. Carlo Cafaro's collaborative research efforts have culminated in three recent publications.

"Continuous-time quantum search and time-dependent two-level quantum systems," was published in the International Journal of Quantum Information. "Theoretical analysis of a nearly optimal analog quantum search," was published by Physica Scripta, and both research projects were undertaken in partnership with Dr. Paul M. Alsing, Senior Research Physicst at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, New York. These theoretical quantum information works can help us better understand the functioning quantum search algorithms from a physics standpoint.

In addition, and working with SUNY Poly undergraduate student Steven Gassner, the International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics published, "Information geometric complexity of entropic motion on curved statistical manifolds under different metrizations of probability spaces," a mathematical physics work that can help us better understand the relativity of the complexity of motion of physical systems from an information geometric perspective.
