SUNY Poly to Host Fall Career Fair Expo on October 29
Industry Partners Invited to Engage Attendees Through Hands-On Demonstrations
UTICA, NY – SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) will host its Fall Career Fair Expo on Thursday, October 29, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Wildcat Field House, offering an interactive approach to career exploration and professional connections. The event is open to the public and welcomes SUNY Poly students, job seekers, community members, and industry partners interested in exploring career opportunities and connecting with prospective talent.
Designed to benefit both employers and attendees, the Career Fair Expo moves beyond the traditional career fair model by encouraging deeper, more meaningful engagement. Employers are invited to showcase their work through interactive booths, hands-on demonstrations, and engaging displays, while attendees can explore real-world career paths and learn directly about internships, externships, and full-time employment opportunities.
“Our Fall Career Fair Expo is an opportunity to bring together students, community members, and employers in a setting that encourages meaningful conversations and connections,” said Jennifer Rubino, Director of Career Services at SUNY Poly. “Whether someone is exploring career possibilities, searching for their next opportunity, or looking to connect with potential employees, we want this event to be a welcoming and valuable experience. We also encourage our industry partners to get creative and showcase the work they do in ways that help attendees better understand the careers and opportunities available within their organizations.”
The Career Fair Expo is open to individuals at all stages of career exploration, from those just beginning to consider career options to those actively seeking employment. Participants do not need to be SUNY Poly students to attend, and individuals from all majors, industries, backgrounds, and experience levels are encouraged to participate.
SUNY Poly is also actively seeking industry partners, businesses, and organizations to participate in the Fall Career Fair Expo. Employers are encouraged, but not required, to bring hands-on demonstrations or engaging exhibits that showcase their industry, organization, technology, or workforce needs.
