SUNY Poly to Host Interactive Career Fair Expo on February 26
Inviting Public and Industry Partners to Engage Through Hands-On Experiences
UTICA, NY – SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) will host a Career Fair Expo on Thursday, February 26, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Wildcat Field House, offering a reimagined and interactive approach to career exploration. The event is open to the public and welcomes industry partners, students, job seekers, and community members interested in exploring career opportunities.
Designed to benefit both employers and attendees, the Career Fair Expo moves beyond the traditional career fair model by encouraging deeper, more meaningful engagement. Employers are invited to showcase their work through interactive booths, hands-on demonstrations, and immersive displays, while attendees can explore real-world career paths and learn directly about internships, externships, and full-time employment opportunities.
“This is not your typical career fair,” said Erica Schoff, Senior Director of Workforce Development at SUNY Poly. “The Career Fair Expo creates an environment where employers can truly showcase what they do through hands-on experiences, and where students and community members can actively engage, ask questions, and envision themselves in these careers. We are especially encouraging industry partners to think creatively and bring interactive displays that highlight their work, technology, and opportunities.”
The Career Fair Expo is open to individuals at all stages of career exploration – from those just beginning to explore career options to those actively seeking employment. Participants do not need to be SUNY Poly students to attend, and individuals from all majors, industries, and backgrounds are encouraged to participate.
SUNY Poly is actively inviting industry partners, businesses, and organizations to register for the expo and take advantage of this opportunity to connect with emerging talent and the broader community. Employers are encouraged (but not required) to bring hands-on demonstrations or engaging exhibits that reflect their industry and workforce needs. Those interested can learn more and/or register on Handshake and the registration fee will be waived for first-time participating industry partners.
