SUNY Poly Associate Professor, Coordinator of the Psychology Program, and Chair of the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences Dr. Kazuko Behrens recently published a special issue as editor for the high impact journal, Attachment & Human Development.
The special issue includes a collection of varied perspectives by leaders in the field of attachment research with regard to the state of the field guided by attachment theory, one of the most influential theories in the developmental science. Contributors reflected how far we have come and where we go from here, acknowledging a number of challenges that came about along the way.
Dr. Andrew Russell, Dean of the SUNY Polytechnic Institute College of Arts and Sciences, said, “This special issue is a wonderful contribution, and especially remarkable because it brought so many scholars from a variety of fields into dialogue with each other. The result is a cohesive special issue that reviews major accomplishments in the field of attachment research and sets forth a scholarly agenda for the future.
