SUNY Schenectady County Community College and SUNY Polytechnic Institute Partner on New Nanoscale Transfer Program
SCHENECTADY – Officials from SUNY Schenectady County Community College (SUNY Schenectady) and SUNY Polytechnic Institute (SUNY Poly) signed an agreement today providing graduates of SUNY Schenectady’s A.S. degree programs in Mathematics and Science with a concentration in Nanoscale Science the opportunity to easily transfer to SUNY Poly for the B.S. degree program in Nanoscale Engineering.
Under the new agreement, graduates of SUNY Schenectady will be able to transfer their credits seamlessly to SUNY Poly as they pursue their bachelor’s degrees. Also, SUNY Schenectady students will have the opportunity to cross-register and take specific nanoscale courses at SUNY Poly’s College of Nanoscale Sciences and College of Nanoscale Engineering and Technology Innovation.
“Not only will our graduates be able to start their first two years at SUNY Schenectady and transfer with ease to SUNY Poly through this new partnership, but current students will also have the advantage of cross-registering and taking courses toward their bachelor’s degrees while enrolled at SUNY Schenectady,” said Dr. Steady Moono, President of SUNY Schenectady. “This is a fine example of our two institutions working together to benefit our students who want to enter the Nanoscale field.”
