Director of Admissions (SL-5)

Reporting to the VP for Enrollment Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the institutional effort to achieve undergraduate freshman and transfer student enrollment goals.  Major responsibilities will include providing leadership and supervision to ten staff members, overseeing the application decision-making process, data retrieval and analysis, planning and implementing recruitment and other admission efforts, maintaining collaborative relationships with external constituents to include outreach to high school and regional community colleges, exhibiting a high level of initiative to achieve enrollment goals, and working to expand outreach and diversifying the prospective and accepted student body.  The anticipated start date for this position is June 1, 2014. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of five years of progressively responsible admissions or related experience in higher education; proficient computer and data analysis skills; thorough understanding of the higher education and admissions landscape; a demonstrated commitment to diversity; effective interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills; effective leadership skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and a presence in the broader admissions and high school guidance communities.
