SUNY Poly’s Got Your Back Campaign https://www.suny.edu/gotyourback/
Coordinated by Poly Pride and the Title IX Working Committee
On April 4, 2016, the State University of New York launched SUNY’s Got Your Back, a year-long project to collect comfort kits for victims and survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence who come to shelters and centers across the Empire State. Every day, individuals in our community seek assistance from local rape crisis and domestic violence shelters. Often they come with little more than the clothes they are wearing and that is why SUNY Polytechnic Institute has pledged 75 bags to give to local shelters in our community. Items can be dropped off outside the Student Activities Office in the Student Center or at the Human Resources Office in Kunsela Hall through December 16th. Look for the SUNY’s Got Your Back box. Poly Pride will also be tabling in the Student Center collecting items or donations for the purchase of these items on 11/30 and 12/1 from 12-2pm. Below is a list of suggested items that can be donated. Items should be in their original packaging, with any safety fixtures, such as a tab over the top of a new deodorant stick, still in place.
