Syracuse Post-Standard: 'Pottersville' filmmakers to hold open casting call in Hamilton, NY

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Filming for the upcoming movie "Pottersville" will begin in early January in the village of Hamilton.
On Monday, Jan. 4, the filmmakers will host a casting call for locals to play customers, bankers, families (kids must be 12 or older), old timers, pedestrians, party people, a paperboy, teenage friends, tourists and townspeople.
The casting call will take place at Park United Methodist Church from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. All candidates must bring a current, clear headshot, as well as a resume.
All people 12 or older are welcome to audition, regardless of acting experience, but candidates must be available during filming dates between Jan. 6 and Jan. 29. Specific dates, times and scenes for each role have not yet been determined.
