Time to Vote!

Per New York State law, time off to vote shall be provided but there are conditions written into the law.
If the polls are open four hours before or after the employee’s regular shift, then that is deemed to be sufficient time to vote.
If there is less than four hours, then the employee is entitled to up to two hours of paid time off to vote.
The request for time off must be at least two work days before the election.
