Senior vice president and CEO at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Robert Geer, and Dr. John Howard, director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, took part in a signing ceremony on Thursday outside the Lam Research clean room at the Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany. The partnership will advance research and guidance for occupational safety and health in nanoelectronics. Construction is continuing on the $200 million ZEN building off Fuller Road on the Albany campus. It will house renewable energy and clean-tech research and operate as a zero-energy building that generates its own power.
