SUNY Polytechnic Institute and the 24-acre property's owner, U.W. Marx Inc., are negotiating the use of some of the property for high-tech development.
The Rensselaer Planning Commission relaunched the site's future when it voted 6-0 Monday night to approve subdivision maps showing the roads and storm water treatment for a mixed-use riverfront project.
