More than 200 semiconductor suppliers and industry insiders were at the first-ever Northeast Semi Supply Conference at SUNY Polytechnic Institute on Wednesday .
The event was organized by SUNY Poly, New York state and SEMI, the semiconductor supplier trade group that puts on Semicon West every year in San Francisco.
Executives from suppliers from Buffalo to Boston explained that SUNY Poly and the new nexus of GlobalFoundries and IBM have created a center of gravity in the northeast U.S. for semiconductor suppliers.
