Troy Record TROY >> With many area school districts on vacation this week, the SUNY Poly Children’s Museum of Science and Technology is hosting a vacation day camp to give kids a chance to keep learning while having fun during spring break.

Children who attend the week-long program will be able to learn about topics such as sports science, engineering, aquatic creatures and dinosaurs. Campers on Monday morning learned about earth science through a series of experiments. Some “mined” the chocolate chips out of cookies using only toothpicks or paper clips, while others mixed different flavored candies together to understand the blending of rocks.
