I wanted to share with you the following list of upcoming NANOvember events:
Saturday, November 7 SUNY Poly Community Day - Albany 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. 257 Fuller Road Albany, NY
Albany Site
SUNY Poly Community Day is a chance for people of all ages from across New York State and beyond to receive an up-close look at the exciting world of nanotechnology. Attendees will experience hands-on activities, engaging demonstrations, timely presentations, and guided tours of the SUNY Poly Albany site. Attendees will see firsthand how SUNY Poly and New York State have emerged as the epicenter for the nanotechnology-driven society.
Saturday, November 7 SUNY Poly Community Day - Utica 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. 330 Technology Drive Marcy, NY
Utica Site
Visitors will learn about the Computer Chip Commercialization Center (Quad-C), part of Governor Cuomo’s ‘Nano Utica’ initiative, and other SUNY Poly programs at the Utica site. Attendees will experience hands-on activities, presentations and guided tours of Quad-C.
Thursday, November 12 Student Entrepreneurship Summit: Interdisciplinary teams for Innovation and Entrepreneurship noon - 3 p.m.
Albany Site
The goal of this Summit is to provide networking opportunities for student entrepreneurs and provide real world advice on how to build and manage effective interdisciplinary teams for innovation.

Thursday, November 12
SPARC Entrepreneurship Forum 3 - 6:30 p.m.
Albany Site The SUNY Poly: Advancing Research & Commercialization (SPARC) Entrepreneurship Forum will provide critical information and valuable connections for startup businesses, enabling them to connect with client companies and advisory members of Incubators for Collaborating & Leveraging Energy and Nanotechnology (iCLEAN) and the Tech Valley Business Incubator to learn about what it takes to build a successful enterprise and obtain information about local investment funds.

SUNY Poly CMOST Family Day 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 250 Jordan Road Troy, NY
SUNY Poly CMOST will open its doors at no cost during this event that will give attendees an opportunity to explore the science behind Star Wars. Activities will include exploring magnetism and circuitry, and creating a mini light saber to take home.
Monday, November 16
An Evening of Q & A With Dr. Alain Kaloyeros 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Albany Site
Community members will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Alain Kaloyeros, Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of SUNY Polytechnic Institute, about the growth of the nanotechnology industry across New York State, pertinent educational and economic opportunities, as well as any other topics of relevance.
Tuesday, November 17
NYS Environmental Excellence Awards 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Albany Site
The NYS Environmental Excellence Awards is an annual recognition of outstanding innovative and sustainable projects or programs and unique partnerships that are improving and protecting New York State's environmental resources and contributing to a stronger economy. This event is open to the public but attendees are encouraged to pre-register.
Tuesday, November 24
NanoCareer Day 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Albany Site
SUNY Poly will host more than 300 elementary school students from across upstate New York as they take part in NanoCareer Day. The event is designed to help prepare students for a growing number of nanotechnology-related careers while also addressing the critical national need to stimulate students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
