There’s another spinoff from the $1.5 billion Computer Chip Commercialization Center at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
A request for proposals obtained by the Observer-Dispatch, and set to be released Monday, shows that a 100,000-square-foot multi-use building will be built adjacent to the campus that will mean an additional 100 jobs.
It will house overflow personnel from the Quad-C building, which also is growing in size and scope even as it is constructed.
Quad-C was first announced in 2009 as a $45 million venture that would offer 475 jobs. Today, it is a $1.5 billion endeavor with at least 2,100 jobs.
