Utica Observer-Dispatch: Mohawk Valley unites for record-breaking

I wanted to share an article published in the Utica Observer-Dispatch:

 

Walkers took part in a 3 mile walk through the SUNY Poly campus, learned about how to become Alzheimer's advocates and participated in a meaningful ceremony that renewed their commitment to honor, remember and care for those with Alzheimer's or other form of dementia and fight t the disease.

Individual walkers, teams and corporate supporters helped raise $65,000 during Sunday’s 2015 Greater Utica Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

It was the largest amount raised in the 14 year history of the event, which took place at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

“We are humbled by the support shown by the community,” said Catherine James, chief executive officer for the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter, in a news release. “We had a passionate committee driven by a cause that impacts so many.”
