GOOD
It keeps getting better.
Earlier this week, the Observer-Dispatch learned that a request for proposals set to be released Monday shows that a 100,000-square-foot multi-use building will be built adjacent to the SUNY Polytechnic Institute campus to accommodate overflow personnel from the Quad-C building. SUNY Poly president Alain Kaloyeros said it will mean an additional 100 jobs.
Quad-C was supposed to open late last year, but that was delayed due to expansion. Those expansion plans were announced in January, upping the investment for the structure alone from $125 million to $250 million or more. Earlier projections had estimated that the total public and private investment in Quad-C, including the expensive tools used in chip making, to be $1.5 billion.
