I wanted to share an article you published in theUtica Observer-Dispatch:

The SUNY Poly baseball team used a sweep of Penn College Saturday to win the North Eastern Athletic Conference regular season title and earn the right to host the NEAC Tournament on May 8-10.

New York Mills graduate Jeff Albright struck out 10 in Game 1 for the SUNY Poly baseball team Saturday, and Whitesboro’s Connor Passalacqua collected three hits in two games as the Wildcats swept Penn College 5-2 and 6-2 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader in Marcy.

SUNY Poly’s wins and Lancaster Bible’s split with Penn State-Abington means SUNY Poly (11-3, 16-12) wins the regular season conference championship and will host the NEAC Tournament for the first time since 2011 on May 8-11.

Albright, a senior lefty, set the tone in the opener going eight innings, giving up four hits, two runs (one earned), two walks and the 10 strike outs. Albright is 5-1 and Andrew Scharra came in for his second save.

SUNY Poly catcher Anthony Ragosta had two hits with a double and a run scored, right fielder Passalacqua was 2-for-3 and center fielder Raymond Smith was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Passalacqua was 1-for-2 with a triple and an RBI in Game 2. Smith added a hit and scored a run, and Camden graduate Joseph O’Rourke had a double, an RBI and scored two runs.
